Conditions of MPL use

Please read and understand these conditions before using the MPL

1. When you contact people by mass e-mail, include a note at the bottom of the message that says something like, "You have received this e-mail message because you have expressed interest in hearing about opportunities to participate in experimental research. If you would like to be removed from this list, please update your preference here http://cbdr.cmu.edu/experiments/remove_email.asp"

2. Limit your sending of unsolicited e-mails to a minimum. Avoid sending duplicate messages, sending messages frequently, or engaging in any other communication that could be annoying for potential participants.

3. Remember that the institutional review board must approve all experimental research with human subjects. Please get your experiments approved before you begin scheduling experimental sessions.

4. Remember that all the participants on this list have expressed interest in hearing about experiments for pay. If you don't pay them, they are unlikely to be interested in participating.

5. Please do not give the password to anyone. If someone expresses interest in it, send them to http://cbdr.cmu.edu/researchers.

6. Please put all potential particpants' emails in the bcc: field of your e-mails to protect their privacy and the use of this list of e-mails.

7. Include "cbdr-lab@andrew.cmu.edu" in any e-mails you send out. If you let this site generate the list of e-mails you send to, it will automatically include that address.

8. This web site may not be used to obtain or share sensitive health-related information as the sharing of such information is restricted under HIPAA (the Health Insurance Portability and Accountability Act of 1996).
